I have had quite an ordeal trying to get my new blog up- and you know what, it is STILL not ready. But I am going to use it anyway. It's under construction still so not looking so pretty yet, but you will find my posts there. Think of it as a new house not quite painted yet.

Featured Family {New Hampshire Family Photographer}
I loved shooting this beautiful family a few weeks ago and wanted to share one of my favorite sessions with you. This family is beautiful, I am sure you will agree. But they are more than just pretty on the outside, they really enjoy being together, laughing, and playing as a family. It was a joy to capture the true essence of these sweet little girls and their handsome Dad and gorgeous Mom. And the little mini people, couldn't you just eat them up? They are full of personality and beauty all wrapped up in a teeny adorable package.
This session truly represents the essence of my art, of the heart of my work, of the blessing I have and hope to be, of capturing a family just being and make it into something that is beautiful to look at. My hope is that I create images that makes a Mom and Dad's heart smile whenever they see the sweetness of their relationship and the honesty in capturing their most precious treasures just as they are at that moment in time.

Isabella. Sophistication. {Vermont Senior Photographer}
Poise. Class. Sophistication. Beauty. A future in opera. Ms. Isabella, with the most beautiful name that just rolls off the tongue of any opera lover: Isabella Lamadriz. I love just saying it. She looks and sounds the part of a star. Remember me when you hit it big, okay?

Cutest Kid Everrrrrrrr Contest!!!!
Okay folks, let me first introduce the judges to you. (Click here to visit the PC Blog) They are my very dear photographer friends who live all across this great country and even as far away as the UK. They are all professional photographers, Moms, and great friends. I sent them all the entries and they narrowed it down to the top 3. They said it was a super hard job and I think they wish they could have named all of these adorable kids the cutest. So, without further adieu, here are the top three finalists:
FAMILY 1:
Family 2:
Family 3:
How this works:
It's simple. The Child/ Family with the most comments wins. You have to get as many (unique) people to comment on this entry to win the gift certificate and the Free Session. Commenters, you must sign in, anonymous commenters do not count because I have to be able to see that they are from unique users. So sign in (its easy), put the family # of your vote in your comment and then feel free to say something nice about how cute your choice is. All commenters who vote for the winning image will receive a free 5x7 ($45) if you book a session within 48 hours of the end date of the contest which is 9/17.
All comments must be posted by midnight on the 17th of September. You must have at least 15 comments to win.
I want to thank every family who entered an image. Your kids are all beautiful, just beautiful. Some of the images made me laugh and others made me go, "awwwww." I know many of them and they are adorable, funny, smart, silly, creative kids all around. What a privilege it is to know them and to have (in some cases) their families as clients. As a special thanks to all who entered, please take $50 off a session fee if you would like to book a fall or winter session, and a free 8x10. If you have already had a session this year and would like to pass your win on to a friend, I would be happy to give you a gift certificate. Sessions must be booked by 9/19/09.
Now...go get all your friends to comment!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to you both. Thank you for sharing that beautiful Sunday morning with me. Josh, I know this was probably not the ideal way for you to spend a warm sunny summer morning, but just look how happy you made your bride-to- be!! Nicole, it's a great thing to have a husband who will give away his hours for you. You are both extremely blessed to have found each other!

Beauty Comes in Threes {New Hampshire Photographer}
The relationship between Moms and Daughters is often strained, uncomfortable, out of sorts. It is a rare thing to see a Mom and two daughters who just BE when they are together. They dance, they laugh, they hug, they smile, they give some sass to the photographer. They like each other. Isn't that cool? I love it. Thanks for sharing your Friday evening with me, beautiful dancing ladies.
Check out the New Contest : $200 Prize!!!!

Just Checking Something
For the fun of it and to test something, have I ever told you what love alert is? It looks like this:
When Mom and Dad are kissing, one of the kids yells, "Love alert love alert love alert!!" And Max gets all grossed out and tries to stop the disgusting display of affection. Please forgive this horrible pic. It was dark in there. I love this shot anyway. It makes me laugh!!

Your Child Might Be Spolied If....
For her fourth birthday you drive 2 hours to a "otel" so she can swim in a "otel" swimming pool....
..and jump on a "otel" bed...
...and sleep on her brand new princess pillow in a "otel" room...
..and open her presents on a sofa bed in a "otel" room.
And your child might be spoiled if you also then take her to Hampton Beach to see gigantic waves in the aftermath of Hurricane Bill...
Then after a full day in the sun and sand take her to Chuck E Cheese's even if your hair looks ridiculous from all the wind and you are wearing shorts that look horrible on you, and you are covered in sand from being hit by ginormous waves all afternoon....
And then, drive three hours home and let her take a bath with her super cool new Barbie Mermaidia Bath Tub Thingy...
Happy birthday Sweet Girl. I hope you had fabulous day. XXOO
*******************************************************************
Just a few more images and a few words about our gigantic wave watching day. The waves in the aftermath of hurricane Bill were quite incredible, just amazing to watch. BUT they are dangerouls even, and I didn't really get how bad it was until we were driving home and hearing the reports of people being washed off a rocky cliff in Acadia State Park.
We were on these rocks....
when a HUGE wave came in, wasn't paying attention and we nearly lost Ella to the sea. There was a moment of shear panic as I looked around to find her. (Then another as I scanned the rocks for Max, who had been able to scramble up onto a big rock before the water hit.) Thank God she was right there, scrambling to stay on her feet with just her chin above water. We were surrounded by rocks, so she was able to hang on to one and I reached back and grabbed her before the water swept back out. It was scary for a second there and I am very glad that it wasn't as horrible as it could have been. Please pray for the family of a 7 year old girl who was swept out to sea and died today in Maine. I can only imagine the panic of that moment, the shock, and the devastation as her parents look for her and she isn't there. Please be careful if you are out there, it is amazing to watch the sea swell and crash against the wall and the rocks, but wow, we are no match for it's power.
It took awhile for her to get over it, poor baby. And on her birthday...
