Radiance

Have you ever seen such a radiant smile? Meet Kassy, who has to have one of the most incredible smiles I've ever seen. I had such a great time with you and your Mom, Kassy- you are silly and fun and beautiful...I can't wait to see what you make of your life...Congrats to you as you finish the last portion of this journey and begin the next!

Yup, Christmas is just around the corner....

I hear they are decorating for Christmas already in the malls... can you believe that? Well, I guess I should, because here I am talking Christmas! I promise I wouldn't bring it up except that Christmas takes some planning and we've got to get the move on so we are not going crazy the week before Christmas. Get all the hustle and bustle out of the way so you can enjoy the season!

With that in mind, I will be doing mini Christmas card sessions at The Rocks Estate on October 11th. Each session will last 20-30 minutes and I will present 8-10 proofs for your cards. A mini session will include (1) 8x10 and (2) 5x7 gift portraits and (1) pack of 24 flat press printed custom designed cards for $175. You will also receive 10% off any additional prints you order.

Below are a few of the cards I have for you to choose from this year. Once you choose a card I will retire it for the year so no one else in our area will have the same one. You can also choose your card ahead of time, so if you see a design you love, we can be sure to get the shots that fit best in that one. E-mail me with your pick and I will set it aside for you.

Meet Kelly Clarkson...errrrr..I mean Kelly J.

The whole time I was photographing this beautiful girl I could not think who it was that she reminded me of- but once I sat down and started editing her images I knew that it was Kelly Clarkson, a younger version of the devine Kelly C. You are absolutely gorgeous Kelly J! It was great to meet you and your Mom and I can't wait for you to see the rest of your fabulous images! Congrats on the start of your senior year!

Meet Sadie

I have to be the luckiest photographer in northern NH, really- I get to photograph the most beautiful seniors around. And not only are they all gorgeous to look at, but they have all been beautiful people too. I am so excited to have met Sadie. She is planning to become a photographer, so you can imagine we had a lot in common. I have to admit to being a little jealous- I wish I had been together enough as a high school senior as she is (instead of madly in love with my hubby which was all I could think about back then) to know what it was that I wanted to do and be headed on the journey towards that goal. I can only begin to dream about all the things that Sadie can do with her talent and skills that she is developing at such a young age. I see huge things for her in her future, and I am so excited to someday be able to day, "I knew her when..." Congrats as you enter into your final year of high school and begin your new life!

I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to just these for the sneak peek, Sadie! You are going to have a ton of fabulous images to choose from!

The Kitchen

Is this not THE coolect kitchen set ever? I think I may have to leave it right in my living room. This one is made of maple.

It has a real laminate counter top, a real faucet, and a light up microwave oven. The paper towels were cut in half and mounted on a toilet paper roll.

Check out the details!

If your prince or princess just can't live without one of these, you can contact my Dad, of

My Baby Turns Three!!!

It's true... I have no more babies in my home. Just two big kids and my little one who is not so little anymore. I don't know how many times lately I have celebrated with her for being a big girl. And while I celebrate with her and am so proud of her, and even happy to be moving into that next phase of life, I will be just a little sad to leave the old life behind. Just a little...

Ella turns three in the morning. She went to bed tonight in her brand new big girl bed and she is going to wake up in the morning to such surprises- balloons and fancy packages and the coolest kitchen set ever...(see more about this below.)

Here she is, showing off her new bed and her big girl moves...

Now about that kitchen... my Dad made this incredible kitchen for Ella for her birthday. It is so flippin cool!! I took a picture, but my camera is in the guest room where my parents are sleeping, so I will have to post the picture tomorrow. Wait till you see it.. you are gonna want one for your little princess!

There's Something About the Ocean...

I'm not sure what it is, but I am feeling very sentimental today about our trip to Nantusket Beach. I think it's the ocean- it's just magical. I love the smell, how warm the wind is, the unbeleivable color of a sunset, the treasures that are washed onto the earth everyday by the tide coming in and then disappearing. I think it's wild to walk on sand that just hours before was covered with water five feet high. The sound of the gulls, the feel of the sand, and the pure mystery of it all. I know it probably sounds corny, but I really am feeling a little teary that its over, and that it was over so quickly.

We went to Nantusket Beach and then to the Aquarium in Boston. The absolute highlight of my trip was the night at the beach. We met my dear friend Megan Peck and her family for an amazing dinner in an ocean front restaurant, then we went out to the beach where the kids found all these incredible sea creatures and shells and beautiful rocks. The wind was blowing and the sunset was golden and all seemed well in the world at that moment. Thank you Peck family, for meeting us and sharing a great time with us. We are going to be regulars at Nantusket Beach!

If you would like to see all the pictures from our mini trip, you can see it on my brand spankin new website! (More to come on this soon!) Enter the gallery, click on client lounge, then enter the password beach.

Meet Chris, St. J Senior Rep

I am so lucky! I have been able to shoot the coolest seniors ever! This is Chris- he will be graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy next year. We had an absolute blast on the roof of this old warehouse- until we got rained out and had to go inside. Yes, we got rained out again, because the sun never shines in NH it seems. It stopped for awhile though, before the downpour started and we managed to get a ton of cool shots on this roof. The inside shots rocked too, if I do say so myself.

Thanks for a fun night, Chris! And thanks for taking on the job of being a Senior Rep for your school!

Meet Jake

Someday I am going to be able to throw this kid's name around and it will make me look really important. REALLY. Jake is the NYS home run champion- did I get that right, Jake? If I am not exactly right about that, know that he is the very best at something in baseball in all of NYS. And someday I bet we see him play for the Yankees. (Don't hate him NH Boston fans) You better remember me when you need publicity shots! On a more serious note, congratulations to you on the start of your senior year, and a promising future ahead of you. Enjoy your sneak peek.
